We’re looking for Action Team Managers (non-paid) to oversee advocacy efforts for the Healthy Workplace Bill in their own counties: Berkshire, Bristol, Dukes, Franklin, Middlesex, Nantucket, and Worcester (all other counties are filled). They will organize local events and volunteers to spread the word about the bill.
Past experience with event planning and/or volunteer organizing is preferred but not required.
Action Team Managers will be responsible for:
– Planning at least one advocacy event per month including but not limited to: handing out flyers at local events or locations, identifying local groups that might be interested in supporting the bill, and speaking with groups to educate them about the bill.
– Recruiting volunteers to support these efforts and educating them on the bill and their responsibilities.
– Attending a monthly hour-long conference call with other Action Team Managers to present new ideas and successes.
Training includes one hour-long mandatory conference call to understand roles and available tools, including flyers mailed to you if needed.
This job is a minimum 6-month time commitment and a minimum of 5 hours per month.
