Rhode Island moves workplace abuse legislation forward

Yesterday, the Rhode Island Senate voted to move the workplace anti-abuse Healthy Workplace Bill forward.

With a one-year session in Rhode Island, advocates testified in front of the Senate Committee on Labor recently. Then the bill quickly moved to a floor vote in the Senate. It’s now in the House Labor Committee. Advocates anticipate a House vote and need as many Rhode Islanders and advocates outside of Rhode Island as possible to contact Rhode Island state reps.

Advocates in Rhode Island can contact their own state reps, and advocates outside of Rhode Island can contact all Rhode Island state reps asking them to support Senate Bill 90 and to bring it to a floor vote.
